Scientists from the Boston College of Architecture have found that small housing can cause serious health problems for residents. In particular, American researchers believe that the small area of the apartment may be the cause of the psychological problems of the tenants.

It has been established that families living in small apartments quarrel more. In addition, they are more likely to report cases of domestic violence and alcohol and drug abuse.
Experts believe that the consequence of living in a small apartment is chronic stress, which adversely affects the mental health of a person and his personality.
Psychologists share this point of view: for example, children who live for many years in micro-apartments and in poor conditions become very withdrawn over time. In addition, they have problems with concentration – and this, in turn, is reflected in their academic performance.

In addition to the size of the area, it also matters on which floor it is located. It turns out that living on the upper floors is also harmful. This is due to the level of the magnetic field necessary for the normal functioning of the human body. The higher – the weaker the effect of the magnetic field, which can adversely affect human health. Experts believe that the most suitable floors for living are no higher than the 7th.
The material from which the housing is built is also important: many of them reduce the effects of the magnetic field. For example, concrete structures can weaken the field by 10%, so they are recognized as the most harmful. But brick walls “extinguish” only 7% of the magnetic field. The tree is recognized as the safest and most environmentally friendly, which reduces the level of the magnetic field by only 1%.
